Is Cardano still the project of the future? #CardanoDebate

Since its launch in 2017, Cardano (ADA) has been presented as a scientific and academic competitor to leading projects in the blockchain world, such as Ethereum. It is based on research foundations and scientific review, and has gone through precise development stages within a long-term roadmap. But the question the community is now asking is:

Is Cardano still on the right track, or have competitors surpassed it in terms of innovation and adoption?

🔍 Strengths of Cardano:

• Use of the strict Haskell language to ensure the accuracy of smart contracts.

• The energy-efficient proof-of-stake algorithm (Ouroboros).

• Launch of strong projects on its network such as Minswap, Indigo, and Jed stablecoin.

• High focus on applications in developing countries (especially in Africa).

⚠️ Criticisms raised by some:

• Delay in launching essential features like smart contracts.

• Weak adoption compared to other chains like Solana and Avalanche.

• Slow development compared to the speed of updates in other projects.

🤔 My perspective (on #CardanoDebate):

Despite the slowness, Cardano represents a school of thought in blockchain development that is different from the “launch then fix” approach. What it offers is not just technology, but a scalable long-term governance methodology.
