Los Angeles Mayor Announces Curfew for Downtown Los Angeles
June 11 - Los Angeles Mayor Bass announced a curfew for the downtown area of the city on Tuesday, following days of intense protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that led to clashes between demonstrators and law enforcement, as well as widespread vandalism and some looting, particularly late at night and in the early morning. The Los Angeles curfew will begin at 8 PM local time on Tuesday and last until 6 AM local time on Wednesday, applying to a one-square-mile area of downtown.
