Have you ever stopped to wonder how a needle passing through the grooves of a record can produce such pleasant sounds?
The needle, made of a hard material like diamond, passes through the grooves of the vinyl record, vibrating according to the recorded sounds. The arm that holds it, a flexible metal bar, has wires along its length and a cartridge at the end that receives the vibrations, which are converted into electrical signals, which are transmitted through a coil in a magnetic field. These electrical signals are carried by wires to the amplifier, which increases the power of the signals. Finally, these signals are converted into sound and sent to the sound boxes (speakers).
Interesting, isn't it?
