📊 Circle shares rose by 168% on the first day of trading
On the debut trading day, Circle (CRCL) shares increased from $31 to $83. The largest external shareholders were General Catalyst with 8.9% and IDG Capital with 8.8% prior to the placement. The list of major venture investors also includes Accel, Breyer Capital, and Oak Investment Partners.
The investment firm Ark Invest, led by Cathie Wood, purchased 4.48 million CRCL shares for a total of $373.4 million for its ETF funds.
