A New Phase for Ethereum’s Layer 1 and Layer 2 Infrastructure?
I found this recent update quite fascinating — Ethereum co-founder and Consensys CEO Joseph Lubin has confirmed that he's currently in talks with sovereign wealth funds and banks from a “major country.” The focus of these discussions is building infrastructure within the Ethereum ecosystem — specifically around both Layer 1 and Layer 2 technologies.
This is a major signal that institutional players are no longer viewing Ethereum as just a speculative asset, but as a long-term technological backbone. If this partnership moves forward, the impact won’t just be limited to ETH’s price — it could influence the entire Web3 infrastructure landscape.
In my opinion, we’re not far from a time when governments and large financial institutions start integrating blockchain into real-world systems — and Ethereum seems to be leading that charge.
