Is it too late to enter Bitcoin in 2025?
My honest answer: No. Not at all.
Most people are afraid to start because they see Bitcoin prices as 'already high'. But the fact is, Bitcoin always looks expensive when you haven't started.
I decided to stop being afraid and start Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA): buy routinely every week. Not because I am an expert, but because I know the future is won by those who are consistent, not fast.
What strategy do I use?
🧠 Strategy I Prepared for the 2026 Bear Market
I know crypto has cycles. A bull market can bring huge profits, but a bear market is a mental test. So here is my plan:
✅ 1. DCA Every Week
I allocate IDR 100,000–IDR 250,000/week for Bitcoin (adjust according to your ability). This becomes long-term savings, not speculation.
✅ 2. Take Profit in Times of Euphoria
When my portfolio profits more than 100%, I don't FOMO — I take some profit and move it to stablecoins for staking or using simple earn available on Binance (to get passive income).
✅ 3. Avoid Leverage
I do not use debt/leverage when prices rise. I want to be able to sleep well when the market drops.
✅ 4. Prepare Crypto Emergency Fund
I set aside some in USDT/USDC so I can buy when the market drops. A bear market is not a disaster, but in my eyes, it is a big discount. Imagine buying a cup of coffee for 10,000 IDR and when the price of that coffee drops, I still buy and I get 3 cups of coffee with my 10,000 IDR that usually only gets me 1 cup of coffee.
📊 My Way of Calculating Bitcoin Profit
I always record all purchases. From there, in a notebook I know:
How much total money comes in
Average Purchase Price
Amount of BTC owned
The formula is simple:
(Current BTC Price - Average Purchase Price) x Amount of BTC = Profit/Loss
This way, I can evaluate my portfolio realistically, not based on feelings.
My conclusion: Late? No. As long as you're ready
The best year to buy Bitcoin might have been yesterday.
But the second best year? Today, if you are ready to learn and be disciplined.
