The Art of War is a very interesting book.
You might think it teaches you how to 'fight', but in fact, it talks throughout about how to 'not fight'.
It first explains that war is very dangerous, and one should not go to war lightly. Even if war is initiated, one must calculate the costs and probabilities of victory; if it can be avoided, it should be avoided.
Winning every battle leads to the imminent demise of a nation.
Because fighting incurs losses and costs; if one is always at war, it indicates that the fundamental problem has not been resolved.
Think about it, isn't trading the same way?
