When we were young, we killed monsters in abandoned cities and debugged bugs in toy cities. We earned gold coins to buy fashions and fought against bosses to show off.
At that time, you might not have thought that one day these memories would be written into the blockchain.
Today, MapleStory Chain Game NXPC is officially launched. The pixel world that has grown up with a generation has returned to the field of vision with a new attitude of "on-chain assets + free economy".
Some people regard it as a sentiment, some people regard it as a new battlefield for gaming, but no matter you are returning or seeing it for the first time, this is another experiment of “old IP × new paradigm” in the Web3 world.
1 asset in 3 different forms

MSU's economic system consists of $NXPC, $NESO and NFT, all of which can be exchanged in both directions.
$NXPC - is the native token used to pay MSU Layer1 network gas fees and can also be exchanged for $NESO or NFT.
$NESO - used for various in-game functions (such as weapon enhancements, etc.), can also be exchanged for $NXPC or used to purchase items on the official NFT marketplace.
NFT – In-game characters, equipment, and consumables will appear in the form of NFTs, which can be exchanged with $NXPC in both directions, or traded with $NESO on the official market.
This does not mean that MSU adopts a dual-token or triple-token model. In fact, the entire economic mechanism is "3 different forms of 1 asset".
If we regard in-game props as a kind of "token", then in the original MapleStory and even most MMORPG games, this "token" is a bit like Ethereum - there is no upper limit on the supply, rewards contributors (props dropped by monsters in the game), and there are burning channels (low-level props may be consumed through channels such as prop synthesis).
The similarities also exist in that in-game props can be subject to "cyber attacks", and the intervention of the studio will greatly accelerate the output of in-game props, making the inflation of props serious.
In MSU, the source of all assets is $NXPC. The in-game currencies $NESO and $NXPC have a fixed exchange rate and can only be exchanged and minted with $NXPC. All game props (NFT), such as weapons, armor, and decorative items, are centrally managed by the official in MSU and stored in the official "MSU Item Pool". For these props to enter circulation, they need to be exchanged with $NXPC.
$NESO and game props (NFT) will not be dropped in the game, but this does not mean that they are independent assets, and their source is also $NXPC:

(MapleStory N): Create a character
First of all, as a Web3 version of MapleStory, the game itself must be opened through a bound wallet.
Roles and information will be recorded in the wallet, and market transactions must also be conducted through the wallet.

When creating a character, a number will be generated for the character name. You need to wait until level 30 before you can use the Casting Character (MINT) to name it. Currently, the game only provides Adventurer profession creation.
The five major occupational groups are:
Mage: Bishop, Ice Mage, Fire Mage
Swordsman: Hero, Paladin, Black Knight
Thief: Shadow Thief, Nightbringer
Archer: Archer God, Sharpshooter
Pirates: Boxing King, Gun God
(MapleStory N) Reward mechanism: item drop
(MapleStory N) The drops that can be obtained in the game include: hairstyles, pets, fashions, rare equipment, potions, consumables, chairs, mounts, etc.

Players can obtain the above equipment by dropping treasures from monsters or by receiving rewards from Boss-killing missions. These drops and rewards can be minted into NFTs (non-fungible tokens) and traded on the market, which may also be the main source of revenue for the game.
After casting the prop, a blue number will be displayed under the name of the prop in the status bar (as shown above)
In addition, each item has a "drop limit" set for the entire server. Rare items are likely to have only one in the entire server, which greatly increases the rarity of the equipment (and the drop rate is also extremely small).

(MapleStory N) Reward mechanism: Boss kill mission
Unlike the Web2 version where items will drop directly after the boss is killed, players will have the opportunity to draw on the RAFFLE DASHBOARD after killing the boss.

Each Boss can be killed and participate in a lottery once a day. The rewards will be announced at 00:00 UTC+0 every day (UTC+8 in China, which is 8 am). Various point equipment, rare equipment and props can be drawn from it.
(MapleStory N) System: Casting MINT
First of all, according to the official game description, the current casting system of (MapleStory N) is "all free of gas fees". If you just want to play the game, you don't need to go through complicated procedures such as cross-chain funds.
The casting system is divided into two types: prop casting and character casting:
Prop Casting
All the drops that can be obtained in the game can be cast, including: hairstyles, pets, fashions, rare equipment, potions, consumables, chairs, mounts, etc. After being cast into NFTs, they can all be traded on the market.

Character Casting
After reaching level 30, the character can be cast into NFT. Return to the character selection screen and click on the character at level 30 to see the casting option. The casted character NFT can also be traded on the market and transferred across servers.

(MapleStory N) Token: NESO
The token currently available for market transactions is NESO, which can be obtained through monster drops or through NXPC token exchange.
NESO is consumed in various ways in the game:
Strengthening equipment: To strengthen equipment such as Star Power, Potential Cubes, and Reincarnation Sparks, you need to exchange the corresponding NESO for the number of strengthening times.
Market transactions: Market transactions between players currently need to be conducted through NESO, and the official will charge a certain NESO transaction fee for each transaction.
(MapleStory N) Market Trading
Currently, the market transaction of (MapleStory N) is "external on the website". Players can open "MARKETPLACE" through the website.
Transactions are divided into three types: equipment, characters, and consumables. All transactions must be conducted through NESO tokens.

2. Pets and skills:
NFT pets have built-in skills, which are divided into basic skills and advanced skills. When they are dropped, they will get all basic skills and randomly get one or more or no advanced skills.
Basic skills of NFT pets
1. Item Pouch: Pick up items. Only when the character moves, the pet will follow and pick up items on the moving path.
2. Auto HP Potion Pouch: Automatically use HP potion. You need to put the potion in the pet equipment column. You can set the HP threshold for automatic use of potion.
3. Auto MP Potion Pouch: Automatically use MP potion. You need to put the potion in the pet equipment column. You can set the MP threshold for automatic use of potion.
4. NESO Magnet: Pick up NESO (game coins). Only when the character moves, the pet will follow and pick up NESO on the moving path;
NFT pets’ advanced skills
1. Auto Move (Rarity 1): Automatic movement, even if the character does not move, the pet will automatically run to pick up things around;
2. Expanded Auto Move (Rarity 2): Expanded Auto Move, increasing the range of the pet's automatic movement (3 times). It needs to be used with the Auto Move skill. If only this skill is used, the pet will not automatically run to pick up things;
3. Fatten Up (Rarity 3): Enlarged. When the character kills monsters, the pet will grow larger and randomly obtain one of the following buffs: ① Attack +10, Magic +10, lasts for 10 minutes ② (To be supplemented) ③ (To be supplemented) ...
4. Magnet Effect (Rarity 5): Magnet effect, the pet can absorb the surrounding NESO to its side;
5. Pet Training Skill (Rarity 3): Pet training skill, which can speed up the pet upgrade (actually untested, may be wrong);
6. Auto Buff (Rarity 4): Auto Buff, you can put the Buff skill on your pet, and it will automatically help you open the Buff;
NFT pet skill selection Since the pets given by the system only have the skills of picking up props and picking up NESO, it will be much more comfortable to have an NFT pet. The following are several optional skill combinations
1. Basic skills
Blank pets are at least better than the pets given by the system. They are very comfortable to have automatic blood and blue potions.
2. Basic Skills + Auto Move
It can meet the needs of daily farm use, and will automatically run to pick up things to avoid missing too many gold coins;
3. Basic Skills + Auto Move + Auto Buff
It can meet the needs of daily farming and fighting bosses, and can automatically buff, saving time and effort. Generally, pets at this level are the most cost-effective.
4. Basic Skills + Auto Move + Auto Buff + Expanded Auto Move
There is one more extended move, which is suitable for standing still and pressing the keyboard to hang up;
5. Basic Skill + Auto Move + Auto Buff + Expanded Auto Move + Magnet Effect + Fatten Up
It can absorb NESO and give random buffs. Basically, anyone with the Magnet Effect skill will have other advanced skills of lower rarity, which is only for the rich.
Also remember to avoid these pet skills
1. Basic Skills + Expanded Auto Move
Only Expanded Auto Move is like a blank board, don't spend extra money for this advanced skill!
2. Basic Skills + Pet Training Skill
This advanced skill is not very useful at the moment, so don't waste your money.
Level 0-30: Main Quest Speedrun
1. Beginners Getting Started
- After creating a character, click on the light bulb above your head and follow the plot instructions to complete the novice tutorial. Complete the job transfer task at level 10
2. Key Tips
- The system will give you transitional equipment for the corresponding profession without the need to enhance it or invest resources.
- Save the character's appearance, which can be converted into NFT transactions later.
Level 30-60: Efficient upgrade of dungeon tasks
1. Core copy tasks
- Complete the following 4 copies in sequence through the light bulb quest on the left (it takes about 1-2 hours): - Fairy Academy Irini (level 30-40)
- Shores of Gold (Level 40-50)
- Liena Strait (Level 50-55)
- The Forest of Elodin (Level 55-60).
2. Strategy Optimization
- The monsters in the dungeon are dense and the experience is high. Teaming up can improve the efficiency of clearing monsters.
- If you run out of experience during a dungeon, you can go to "Fallen City Subway B1/B2" or "Green Tree and Vine Cave" to replenish it.
Level 60-80: Map and team missions combined
1. Copy transition phase
- Complete the "Mushroom Kingdom" dungeon (level 60-68), then move to Fantasy Village-Quiet Swamp to swamp the Earth Dragon (level 68-70).
2. Team mission acceleration
- After reaching level 70, you can participate in the "Tang Baobao's Cooking Kitchen" team mission, 5 times a day, with a single experience of about 10%-15%.
- If it is difficult to form a team, you can continue to fight the Earth Dragon or move to the Sky City - Unicorn Forest (monsters refresh quickly, suitable for range attack professions).

2. Experience bonus strategy
- Join a guild to gain experience buff. Some guilds provide a 10%-15% permanent bonus.
3. Death penalty avoidance
- After death, experience gained will be reduced by 80%. You need to use "Amulets" to shorten the penalty time (sold by NPCs in the city, buy amulets
The points required for the talisman are the same as the points required to improve the character's abilities, so try not to die).
- Level 100-140: Prioritize completing the main quest of "Temple of Time" and then move on to "Trial Cave 3" (Star Power 55+).
- Level 140-200: Participate in high-level dungeons such as "Knights' Fortress" and "Kritias", and accumulate NFTs in combination with daily BOSS
resource.
---Through the above process, level 0-100 can be achieved in 8-12 hours (depending on occupation and operation efficiency). Focus on dungeon tasks and efficient maps
