⚙️ Ethereum is preparing for the Fusaka upgrade: Reducing Layer-2 fees and optimizing for validators
📌 After the success of the Pectra upgrade, Ethereum developers are focusing on the next upgrade named Fusaka, expected to be rolled out by the end of 2025.
📌 The focus of Fusaka is to propose improvements to PeerDAS (Peer Data Availability Sampling) – a mechanism that allows validators to only download a small portion of data from the "blob" instead of the entire thing, helping to reduce network load and optimize operational costs.
📌 The "blob" is a temporary off-chain storage space for Layer-2 transactions, introduced from EIP-4844. Increasing the blob limit will support Layer-2 solutions like Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base to operate more efficiently.
📌 Fusaka also includes many other improvements aimed at enhancing the scalability and overall performance of the Ethereum network.
📌 However, the community still has concerns about potential delays, as previous upgrades like Pectra and Dencun were pushed back due to technical issues during the testnet phase. $ETH
