JEFFY YU
The founder of Zerebro and creator of meme tokens, Jeffy Yu, is alive and well. He was exposed and discovered at his parents' house, following an investigation by the San Francisco Chronicle. The search for Yu began after doubts arose about his death, and his wallets continued to exchange tokens on the last day.
'I have been exposed. I have been harassed. If you can find me, other people can find me,' Yu told The Chronicle. 'Now I have to move my parents out of here this week.'
Yu confused meme token degens after seemingly taking his own life in a live stream on Pump.fun, another stunt for fame and to launch a token. Yu had launched a new token, LLJEFFY, which then entered a period of volatility. After the live stream, chain researchers connected the wallets of the current creator of LLJEFFY to previously held addresses, which used the confusion to sell ZEREBRO.
The chilling stunt echoes a previous incident where a trader actually died during a live stream, leading Pump.fun to remove the feature for months. This time, Yu's stunt and token sales further enraged the meme community while actively offloading the market. Estimates see Yu liquidating up to $1.4M of his assets.#Binance
