Ethereum has quietly upgraded, this time technically. I haven't looked into too many details, but it seems some improvements have been made regarding gas consumption, with little short-term impact on the economic model. Many people say that Ethereum doesn't rise after upgrades, indicating that Ethereum is failing. I wonder, why should an upgrade constitute a significant positive impact? If that's the case, any project could just keep upgrading to pump the price. Therefore, the underlying logic that upgrades should lead to price increases doesn't actually exist.
Here are a few other good news items: one is that Futu Crypto officially supports BTC/ETH/USDT deposits. It is evident that cryptocurrencies are gradually being recognized by the traditional financial market, and more funds will choose to enter the cryptocurrency space. Meanwhile, Ethereum's low position is second only to BTC, including ETFs. Currently, only spot ETFs have been approved for BTC and ETH. From an absolute security standpoint, Bitcoin is definitely the first choice, especially for large funds, but if one still wants to take a chance on price increases, Ethereum is more suitable in the next six months.
Another piece of good news is that New Hampshire has signed a 'Live Free or Die' state monetary policy bill, allowing a maximum holding of Bitcoin to be 5% of the state's total funds. Although this is not a large state, it is nonetheless a first step for some states in the U.S. to strategically invest government funds in Bitcoin. Companies like Bitwise are continuing to increase their spot holdings, which may also be the main reason for Bitcoin's strong price. After a period of fluctuating upward, Bitcoin's price has reached $97,000 again, which is really strong.
As for other markets, it is indeed a bit difficult to evaluate, whether in terms of exchange rates or relative historical prices, the trends are not satisfactory. What we are looking forward to now is Bitcoin breaking through $100,000, which could lead to a wave of crazy market movement. At that time, I will clear out the altcoins. For altcoins, the rotation of hot spots is too fast, and the issuance of new coins is too rapid, making long-term holding of altcoins a painful experience.
