Goodbye, $DOGE : a symbolic wake for the meme that became a currency (or tried to).
Today we gather — among memes, sarcasm, and some ironic tears — to bid farewell to Dogecoin, the most charismatic (and perhaps most misunderstood) cryptocurrency the market has ever seen.
Born as a joke, created around a smiling Shiba Inu and backed by tweets from Elon Musk, Doge won hearts… but didn't keep wallets.
It was years of euphoria, memes turning into wealth, promises that it would be “the people's currency,” and a community that stood firm even when everything was sinking.
But the market is cruel, and when hope turns into dead weight, all that's left is to call the undertaker.
In the wake room, Bitcoin and Ethereum appear with sunglasses, trying to hide their relief.
XRP can't hold back and lets out a side laugh, perhaps remembering that it too was once in that symbolic coffin.
And what about the suited investors?
They cry quietly, with the real-time chart open on their phones, just to clear their conscience.
But let's be fair: Doge went too far for something that started as a joke. It reached the top of trends, moved billions, and for a brief moment, almost made us believe that “1 DOGE = 1 USD” was possible. It wasn’t. And now, with all due respect, may it rest in peace… or just stay in hibernation waiting for the next collective market outbreak.
In the crypto world, anything can happen — even a dead currency rising from the grave straight to the moon. But for now, we pay our respects, some memes, and the recommendation to study more before the next entry.
(CONTAINS SARCASM. I love my Doge, even if it's worth cents).
