Wanted to share one of the most important thing that I have learned being a BD for over 2 years.

Dealflow channels > Direct Clients

I have always divided my focuse into 60/40 ratio. 60% of my focus is on expanding the dealflow channels and 40% on onboarding clients directly.

Dealflow channels are more essential as our space is very small and literally everyone knows everyone and having more dealflow channels opens opportunities to almost every client you are trying to onboard. Asking for intros and helping back dealflow partners have been an integral part of my BD processes and almost everytime I have asked someone for an intro, none refused.

This shows how important it is to have a healthy dealflow partners.
