#XRPETFs significant events are happening in the world of XRP ETFs. On April 30, 2025, ProShares launches three new futures ETFs on XRP: Ultra XRP ETF (with 2x leverage), Short XRP ETF, and Ultra Short XRP ETF (with -2x leverage). These products provide investors the opportunity to speculate on the rise or fall of the price of XRP through derivative instruments rather than through direct ownership of the token.

This launch became possible after the SEC did not oppose the registration of these funds, marking an important step after the completion of a multi-year legal battle between Ripple and the SEC in March 2025.

Although futures ETFs are already hitting the market, investors eagerly await the approval of spot XRP ETFs, which provide direct ownership of the asset. Major asset managers such as Grayscale, Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, and 21Shares have submitted applications to create such funds. Analysts estimate the likelihood of approval for a spot XRP ETF in the U.S. at 73%. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse expressed confidence that such ETFs will be launched in the second half of 2025.

Experts predict that the approval of a spot XRP ETF could lead to a capital influx of up to $100 billion.
