#TariffsPause The major exceptions to the new reciprocal tariffs are the section 232 “national security” tariffs of 25% on imports of steel and aluminum products, as well as passenger vehicles, light trucks and auto parts, for which the 25% tariffs go into effect no later than May 3.

All non-USMCA qualifying imports from Canda and Mexico are also exempt from the reciprocal tariffs given that a 25% IEEPA tariff has been in place since March 4 on products from those two countries.
