Ark Invest, led by Mrs. 'To The Moon' Cathie Wood, is back in business. These guys just updated their Bitcoin price forecast for 2030. And do you know by how much? Not by 5%, not by 10%. But by 40% upwards! Well, why not — if we believe their new fundamental model, in just five years one Bitcoin will be worth between $500,000 and... $2.4 million.
Ark's old predictions were as follows:
• Bearish scenario — $300,000
• Base — $710,000
• Bullish — $1,500,000
And now... a new era of optimism!
New estimates:
• Bearish — $500,000
• Base — $1,200,000
• Bullish — $2,400,000
And these are not just random numbers. Ark claims that they have a 'fundamental model' that takes into account active supply, network activity, growth of institutional interest, and probably secret chats on Telegram where whales agree on who is pumping today.
Let's compare.
Today, Bitcoin is priced at around $65,000.
If we believe Ark's new bullish forecast, it means an increase of almost 37 times in 5 years. It's like buying an old Opel and a couple of years later it turns into a Bugatti — without tuning and even without an oil change.
Of course, Ark has its arguments:
1. Decrease in Bitcoin issuance: halvings work like Swiss clocks. Supply decreases, price increases. All by the textbook.
2. Growth of institutional demand: BlackRock, Fidelity, and other boring uncles in suits have started buying Bitcoin through ETFs. When they enter the game — something is brewing.
3. Instability of the fiat system: well, you don't even need to be an analyst for this. The dollar is printed like newspapers in the 90s. People rush to assets that won’t lose value overnight.
But can Bitcoin really be worth $2.4 million?
For this, its market capitalization would need to be over $50 trillion. That’s more than the entire gold market, more than the GDP of the USA, and probably even more than all the NFTs bought by Elon Musk for fun.
So what is it: brilliant foresight or crypto hallucination?
It could be both. Remember, Cathie Wood has made bold predictions before. Not everything came true. But sometimes she hit the nail on the head. And, frankly, if we see Bitcoin at least at $500k, she can already say: 'Well, I told you so!'
