In this world, humans are given the gift of reason and nature to distinguish between truth and falsehood. It is the responsibility of a person to always support the truth and reject falsehood, for this is the path that leads to success and peace.
What is truth?
Truth is that which is eternal, clear, and based on justice. These are the principles laid down by Allah Almighty to maintain the system of the world. Truth:
- Is based on lies.
- Ensures justice.
- Is beneficial for nature and humanity.
To recognize the truth, it is essential to understand and act upon the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah.
What is falsehood?
Falsehood is that which is based on lies, oppression, and deception. It leads a person to misguidance and destruction. Falsehood:
- Is against nature.
- Destroys human values.
- Creates disorder and unrest in society.
Supporting falsehood not only causes harm in this world but also subjects a person to severe punishment in the Hereafter.
Why is it necessary to support the truth?
1. The pleasure of Allah Almighty
Supporting the truth is a means of attaining the pleasure of Allah Almighty. The Quran declares those who strive for the truth to be successful:
> "And glad tidings for those who remain steadfast in truth." (The Quran)
2. Social justice
Supporting the truth establishes justice in society, which leads to peace and prosperity.
3. Elimination of falsehood
When people support the truth, falsehood automatically ceases to exist, for lies do not last long.
4. Protection of human dignity
Standing for the truth keeps a person's conscience at peace, and they feel dignity and honor within themselves.
Why hate falsehood?
Hating falsehood is necessary because it:
- Misguides humanity.
- Promotes oppression and injustice.
- Paves the way for disobedience to Allah.
Hating falsehood means that we take practical actions against it and reject it, regardless of its form.
Practical actions:
1. Education and awareness
Study Islamic teachings to understand the difference between truth and falsehood, and convey this knowledge to others.
2. Raise your voice against oppression
Whenever you see oppression or injustice, do not remain silent but raise your voice against it.
3. Promote truth
Avoid lies and deception and make truth a part of your life.
4. Ideal character
Make yourself a person who stands with the truth and practices justice in every matter of life.
Conclusion
Supporting the truth and hating falsehood is a fundamental responsibility of a Muslim. This is the path that leads a person to success in both this world and the Hereafter. May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to stand with the truth and reject falsehood. Ameen.
