Recently, I checked the #KaitoAI rankings and found XION on the list. This project recently completed its TGE, and my friends in the community discussed it a few days ago, so I thought I would briefly talk about it today.

🔔 Introduction:

In recent years, there have been many Web3 projects, and the competition among chains is intense. To be honest, I feel that most people do not care how important decentralization is; the complexity is the biggest reason for discouragement. For example, getting a newcomer to experience on-chain products can be quite troublesome!

However, @XION's solution is straightforward: it passes all the complex barriers, making it super easy for users, while the underlying operations are all genuine on-chain actions. This is quite impressive!

XION is a Layer 1 focused on 'abstracted experiences.' Its biggest feature is that users do not need to know they are using blockchain technology; it feels as natural as using a regular app.

The entire design revolves around several keywords: account abstraction, payment abstraction, USDC pricing, modular security, and social friendliness. It may sound like a lot, but the logic behind it is actually very simple: you don’t need to understand it to use it well.

Burnt is a team that has been working on NFT infrastructure on Solana since 2021. They later realized that the limitations of the chain made it difficult to create user-friendly products, so they decided to build their own chain from the ground up to change the rules of the game for user experience.

They partnered with Circle to make USDC the default payment method for the entire chain; they also integrated Axelar and EigenLayer to ensure cross-chain and security aspects. It can be said that everything, from the product to the infrastructure, is built around 'abstracting user perception.'

3️⃣ Core features:

🔸 Native support for account abstraction: You can register directly using email, Google, or Twitter without needing to remember mnemonic phrases. If you change devices, you do not need to sync your wallet; it is fully automated.

🔸 Payment abstraction fully implemented: On-chain transactions use USDC to pay for Gas, eliminating the need to switch native tokens. Users can even purchase NFTs or complete on-chain operations with a credit card, completely bypassing traditional currency exchange and cross-chain steps.

🔸 One chain, multiple account structure: A main account can generate multiple sub-accounts corresponding to different dApps and permissions. For example, if you created an account in one game and registered another account on a task platform, the permissions do not interfere with each other, but they are all under your control.

🔸 USDC-centered on-chain economy: Unlike other chains that default to using native tokens for pricing, all XION dApps are priced in USDC, which is closer to Web2 users' understanding, offering transparent pricing and controllable costs.

🔸 Strong native social attributes: account sharing, multi-signature, invitation mechanisms, and on-chain behavior incentives are all designed at the system level. For example, users can collaborate to complete tasks, unlock rewards, and it also facilitates brands to build a Web3 user system.

4️⃣ Core token $XION:

The total supply of XION tokens is currently 200 million, and they are initially distributed through social airdrops. Instead of taking the traditional large-scale distribution route, XION emphasizes participation and random incentives, similar to scratch card games, guiding users to participate in ecological projects.

The token's use is not merely for Gas; it leans towards governance, staking, future module calls, and other functions. The team and early investors have a relatively long lock-up period, and the overall release rhythm is restrained.

5️⃣ Project prospects:

The XION mainnet has been online for a short time, but ecological expansion is quite rapid, integrating over 200 projects. In terms of user data, there are over 4.2 million on-chain accounts, and the community has accumulated over 6 million+, indicating that they are not pursuing short-term gains but are genuinely working towards a user-friendly Web3 experience.

In the future, they are expected to continue focusing on brand cooperation, social gameplay, and module expansion, with clear goals.

🎯 Final thoughts:

XION does not promote vague or empty concepts, nor is it a project that relies on hype. It focuses on a very practical issue, which is beneficial for newcomers. The idea of leaving complexity to the system and simplicity to the users is, in a sense, more important than many innovative narratives.
