On 4/10, Morph launched the Black Card staking feature. As of now (4/13), 1,033 out of a total of 3,000 Black Cards (about 34%) have been locked.
If you are still hesitating, I have organized the additional benefits that Black Card stakers can obtain, as shown in the image below:

It should be noted that the Black Card itself comes with Morph token allocation for Morph Pay users!
The token airdrop listed in the table above is due to the rights gained from staking the Black Card, which means you can additionally benefit from the token airdrop portion of the Platinum Card.
* Black Card staking must be completed by 4/20 23:59 UTC+8 to qualify for free minting of the Platinum Card SBT.
At this point, Black Card holders may wonder, do I still need to buy a Platinum Card if I have a Black Card?
I believe that the opportunity to mint the Platinum Card SBT through staking the Black Card basically meets personal rights and interests.
However, if you are considering this from an arbitrage perspective, since the minting price of the Platinum Card is set at 0.3 $ETH based on a Morph FDV of 500 million, I believe this depends on the following points:
Does the Morph FDV valuation meet your expectations?
Is the potential arbitrage opportunity greater than the cost?
Does the time of capital occupation align with the benefits?
Although one account can purchase up to 100 cards, the unknown timing of token airdrops and token prices will affect the final returns.
Interestingly, since the minting is priced in ETH, the price of ETH may also be a factor to consider.
Summary
As a Black Card holder myself, I believe that holding a Black Card is definitely the best choice to gain exposure to the entire Morph ecosystem. (The same concept can be thought of in relation to the Solana Saga phone for the Solana chain.)
Although this Platinum Card launch has sparked significant discussion, Morph indeed needs to launch different levels of cards to promote a broader service reach to fulfill its vision of a consumer-grade public chain.
There are many details that must be considered in product release, but the advantage of Web3 is that the distance between the community and the team can be very close, finding the most suitable solutions through continuous communication and adjustments.
