Last night turned into a liquidation night for me... โก
All three of my open short positions โ $ALCH, $LAYER, and $BROCCOLIF3B โ got liquidated. ๐
Just yesterday, I was sitting on unrealized profits across all three positions.
But when prices started to spike, my sell orders triggered, doubling the size of my shorts way too quickly โ faster than I could react. ๐
Suddenly, I found myself holding oversized short positions that were already underwater. At that point, there wasnโt much to do โ except trying to trim the losses during minor pullbacks.
Unfortunately, I couldnโt do enough in time.
The final blow came when BROCCOLIF3B pumped 50% in just one minute, leaving no real chance without a much bigger balance. ๐
I still believe these altcoins will eventually crash hard, but sadly, my positions won't be around to see it.
At the end of the day, it was another painful but powerful lesson:
Risk management is everything. ๐ฏ
Never underestimate how quickly the market can move โ especially with volatile low-cap altcoins.
๐ต Going forward, Iโm adjusting my strategy:
From now on, I plan to withdraw at least half of my profits every week to lock in gains and better protect my capital.
Small, consistent wins are the real path to survival in this game. ๐ก๏ธ
๐ Stay safe out there, traders. Manage your size. Protect your profits. The next opportunity will come โ and we'll be ready.
