🟢 Snoop Dogg and Bitcoin: Rap and Crypto since 2013
In December 2013, when Bitcoin just first rose to $1,000, Snoop Dogg tweeted:
> "My next album will be available in Bitcoins..."
Price? 0.3 BTC for the album!
That was about $300 back then. Today — over $20,000 for that same album, if you hadn't downloaded it, but HODL'd it.
• Snoop was one of the first from the entertainment industry to openly talk about Bitcoin.
• Later he became an ambassador for crypto projects, launched his own NFTs, and even participated in metaverses.
• He admitted that he had held BTC since the early days, but never sold it all.
Interesting fact:
Snoop was among the few who didn't just "promote", but actually accepted Bitcoin as payment. Back then it seemed like madness.
BTC + Rap = SnoopCoin? No, but almost.
