"We Chinese are not troublemakers, but we will not back down when faced with problems. Intimidation, threats, and extortion are not the right way to deal with China. We will not allow anyone to deprive the Chinese people of their legitimate right to development. We will not tolerate any attempt to infringe upon China's sovereignty, security, and developmental interests.
Given its actions, it seems that the United States is not serious about having talks at the moment. If the United States truly wants to talk, it must show the world its willingness to treat others with equality, respect, and mutual benefit. If the United States decides to disregard the interests of itself, China, and the rest of the world, and is determined to engage in a tariff/trade war, then China's response will continue until the end."
