The public beta of ZED Champions will launch on March 31.
Australia-based Virtually Human Studio, the creators of the Web3 racing game ZED RUN, will launch the public beta of their new game ZED Champions on March 31.
The game aims to go beyond speculation mechanisms and introduce real-time breeding, racing, and strategy supported by ZED tokens and an automatic 24/7 racing pool.
The studio will also launch a mobile companion app, ZED Picks, allowing viewers to support racers and win prizes without a crypto wallet.

Gunzilla Games acquires Game Informer.
Frankfurt-based AAA game studio Gunzilla Games, the developer of the blockchain shooter Off The Grid, has acquired the American gaming magazine Game Informer, which was first published in 1991.
The entire editorial team, led by editor-in-chief Matt Miller, will return under the new entity, with Gunzilla confirming that the site will relaunch with exclusive coverage of games releasing in 2024 and plans to reintroduce a print edition to expand its reach.
According to the announcement, Game Informer will maintain complete editorial independence and continue focusing on providing news, reviews, and insights for a global gaming audience.

The browser-based board game LOL Land will launch on Abstract on April 15.
LOL Land is a casual web3 board game developed by the gaming guild Yield Guild Games, set to launch on April 15 on the browser-optimized blockchain Abstract, where players will be able to roll, move on a tile-based map, and earn YGG tokens, points, and NFTs while gaining Abstract XP.
The game is designed specifically for web3 native players and will even feature licensed Pudgy Penguins characters making guest appearances in the game.
Pre-registration is now open ahead of the public release.

METAVISIO and Pudgy Penguins launch web3-enabled laptops.
French electronics manufacturer METAVISIO (parent company of Thompson Computing) has partnered with Pudgy Penguins to launch co-branded web3 laptops.
These devices will come pre-loaded with Arctic-themed wallpapers, as well as cold storage wallets and enhanced security features; distribution details have yet to be announced.

Walmart expands virtual interaction through Minecraft and Discord.
American retail chain Walmart has launched a limited-time branded experience 'Skyward' in (Minecraft), running from March 21 to May 15; this game offers a story-driven adventure experience for players aged 13 and up, featuring cross-planet missions to find a missing character named 'Golden Boy.'
Walmart has also launched a Skyward Discord server, integrating product listings related to the 'Minecraft Movie,' including Walmart-exclusive toys and school supplies.
This new initiative builds on Walmart's previous web3-style activations in the metaverse, including Roblox, Spatial, Emperia, and Zepeto.
Forgotten Runiverse early access is now live.
Forgotten Runiverse is a fantasy MMORPG developed by the web3 game studio Magic Machine; after three years of development and over a million hours of internal playtesting, it launched its global early access version this week on the Ronin blockchain.
The game features a fully walkable open world where players own land plots, and players can earn in-game currency (Quanta) whenever others interact with their property.
Players can also collect resources, craft gear, and mint in-game items such as mounts, magical pets, and magical tools as NFTs; a feature called 'Source of Memory' allows players to use cryptocurrency to purchase random items, including currency boosts, upgrade materials, and other exclusive perks.

Fans chose the Dogecoin brand for Devlin DeFrancesco's Indy car.
Dogecoin is a memecoin known for its Shiba Inu branding, which will appear on Canadian driver Devlin DeFrancesco's No. 30 Honda during this year's Indianapolis 500 race.
The event is sponsored by Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, a company co-owned by comedian and talk show host David Letterman and the web3 advocacy organization House of Doge.
In a public vote, fans chose the official livery - a racing term for the visual design and paint scheme of a race car - featuring the famous Dogecoin logo, colors, and decals; the 'Blaze' theme won with 44% of the vote and will appear on the race car and DeFrancesco's helmet during the race.
This event also includes fundraising for Indiana's newborn learning program, the Riley Children's Foundation.
LG will shut down its NFT marketplace Art Lab on smart TVs in June.
LG Electronics will shut down its Art Lab NFT marketplace on smart TVs in June 2025.
Art Lab was initially launched in 2022, allowing users to browse, purchase, and display NFTs directly from selected LG screens.
Artworks minted in collaboration with the Art Lab, such as Bryan Brinkman's 'Bloom' series, can still be found on the secondary market.

Text-based tech artist Sasha Stiles premiered her latest generative poetry series 'HEART MANTRAS' at the SPARK Art Fair in Vienna.
This poem is a spontaneously generated poem that constantly rewrites itself using Stiles' original verses and AI-generated lines; like all of Stiles' work, 'HEART MANTRAS' is produced by her customized AI language model in collaboration with longtime partner Technelegy.
Using Stiles' own dataset, machines can autonomously write new lines in real-time and then dissolve them after each loop.
The first four outputs are presented in a single video version, which can be used as NFTs on the digital art platform TAEX.
