Animoca Brands and its subsidiaries announced a strategic investment in the NFT brand Cool Cats Group, with the specific investment amount undisclosed. Following the investment, Animoca Brands and Coin Operated Group will hold a majority stake in Cool Cats Group. Animoca Brands will appoint two new board members to advance the development of Cool Cats: Animoca Brands co-founder and executive chairman Yat Siu, and Kenneth Shek, project lead for Mocaverse and Moca Network.

Cool Cats is a collection of 9,999 randomly generated and carefully curated NFTs on Ethereum, inspired by the beloved comic character 'Blue Cat' created by artist Colin Egan (also known as Clon) in 2013.
