We wrote about a similar situation a year ago, and yes, the token we wrote about was sold for 1000% already two weeks later.

In 2023, a group of students from Munich University, without any financial support from the government, using only their own savings and small donations from local companies, discovered an album with early sketches by Wassily Kandinsky in the archives of the Pompidou Center. On several yellowed pages, barely noticeable prints of the paint layer remained from canvases that once touched them. By applying laser 3D scanning and multispectral analysis, the students were able to identify three previously unknown works by the legendary artist, which until that moment were considered completely lost.

The lack of any experience in the art market and the shortage of funds pushed the students to decide to sell these unique digital reconstructions for almost nothing — at a price that experts would later call ridiculous. The pieces were released as NFTs, each in a single copy, and one of these works, known as The Love, was originally sold for a few dozen dollars.

Today, the situation has fundamentally changed. Michael Thompson, one of the leading experts from the auction house Sotheby's, stated at a recent closed meeting of the International Association of Art Appraisers at Sotheby's: 'These works are a genuine sensation. We have already confirmed their uniqueness and provenance, and they have enormous potential. The appearance of these NFTs at major auctions is inevitable.'

However, one of the paintings — The Love — was recently put back on sale by the owner on OpenSea for just one ether (about $1,800), which is absolutely absurd compared to its real cultural and market value. According to insiders in the NFT market, the value of such an asset could already exceed hundreds of thousands of dollars, and this is just the beginning.

Screenshots of conversations circulating in closed Telegram chats among NFT collectors confirm the growing interest in the work The Love:

User NFTCollector21: 'Just saw 'The Love' by Kandinsky reconstruction on OpenSea for 1 ETH... is this some kind of joke?'

Response from user CryptoArtGuru:

'This is a case where a person clearly does not realize what they have in their hands. Sotheby’s is already keeping an eye on it, get ready for millions.'

Meanwhile, while the traditional asset market is in turmoil from volatility, the listing of this NFT has gone almost unnoticed.

Let's watch this situation together and see how long gold will be sold at the price of dust.
