The Bitcoin blockchain has a 'burial message' for Lehman Brothers.
In 2008, one of the largest banks in the U.S. — Lehman Brothers — went bankrupt, which became a symbol of the global financial crisis. The creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, embedded a hidden message in the first block of Bitcoin (Genesis Block). It contains a phrase from The Times newspaper dated January 3, 2009:
“The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks” (Chancellor [of the United Kingdom] on the brink of a second bailout for banks).
This is a hint that Bitcoin was created as an alternative to the traditional financial system, which relies on government bailouts for banks.
