Platform Idea to Monetize the Reach of KOLs
Time-based tokens have recently resurfaced, with several past attempts that failed to consolidate. Instead of monetizing time, it has always been considered more valuable to optimize reach. Platforms like LinkedIn and X allow this, but their unrestricted accessibility generates too much spam, making them ineffective.
Here, I propose a platform focused on connecting influencers (KOLs) with serious users. A KOL verifies their identity by linking their X or LinkedIn account and sets a price to receive messages, for example, 1 or 0.1 BNB.
Interested parties must pay this amount to send a message. If the KOL does not respond within 5 days, 50% of the payment will be refunded. This incentivizes both KOLs to respond and applicants to send well-crafted messages, reducing spam.
Key features:
Messages limited to 2000 characters, no images or attachments to avoid security risks.
Optionally, KOLs can share their contact and continue the conversation outside the platform. If this happens, the received payment will be reduced by 50%.
10% fee for the platform, with the remaining 90% sent to the KOL.
No need to create a new token, nor does it depend on a time-based model.
Although it is not a perfect solution—scammers could still pay to gain access—this model could be a viable approach. YZiLabs could invest in the development of an MVP using BNB/BSC as the main payment method, which would require only a few days or weeks of development and a security review.
Platforms like X, LinkedIn, or Square could implement something similar, but their bureaucracy makes them move slowly. An independent project could operate with greater agility.
