In posts on Truth Social on Sunday, Trump said that a reserve was in progress as part of his executive order on digital assets issued in January. He said the reserve is set to contain five cryptocurrencies — bitcoin, ether, XRP, solana, and cardano.

After a record year in 2024, many analysts believe that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies may have another significant surge this year.
