Litecoin or LTC: One of the most famous cryptocurrencies at the present time, it is based on peer-to-peer, as an open source software project under the MIT/X11 license.

The currency is created and transferred based on an open source encryption protocol, and is not controlled by any central authority. This currency was inspired when it was created in 2011 by the famous Bitcoin currency and is almost identical to it in many technical details.

The currency exceeded the 430 barrier in 2021, Litecoin was issued on "GitHub" in October 2011, by its developer, Charles, a former employee at Google.

Litecoin went live on October 13, 2011, forking from the main Bitcoin client, but it differs from Bitcoin primarily by reducing the block generation time to just 2.5 minutes, increasing the maximum total number of coins available by a factor of four using the hashing algorithm (scrypt instead of SHA-256) and a slightly modified graphical user interface.

The coin is good for long-term investment.
