Clearly, the first film made money, and this one has a very high budget, filled with Chinese aesthetics. It is a work created by a typical person who is talented and full of beliefs in traditional Chinese culture: the jade crane gracefully wanders on the peak of Kunlun Mountain, divine light chases thunder and lightning in the stream, fiery red lotuses bloom fiercely in the dark, sunless mines, a bronze cauldron sinks into the sea to capture the ruins of the Dragon Palace, fairies flutter around the towering peach trees creating a golden giant tree, golden and black waves entangle and slay above the East China Sea. Setting aside the plot, just seeing these images is enough to be moved; you can really feel the effort put into the design and presentation. As a commercial animation, the worldview is already quite complete. You can sense that the production team wants to take their time and carefully interpret Chinese mythology. I think the only regret is that Nezha is male. Ever since I was a child watching Nezha's adventures in the sea, I always felt Nezha should be female.
