Breaking! The ‘Hamster Kombat’ token has fallen to an all-time low, facing new challenges in the upcoming season of Telegram game MIA
Fans of Hamster Kombat are still looking forward to the second season of this popular Telegram game after the token airdrop in September, but the promised release date from the developers has passed, and the price of the HMSTR token continues to decline.
The token is minted based on The Open Network ($TON ). According to CoinMarketCap data, it reached a new low of $0.0025 this Friday. Although it has slightly rebounded to $0.0026 from its low, it still fell by 11% this week. Since its initial release and airdrop on September 26, the price of HMSTR has dropped by about 74%, similar to other popular Telegram game tokens: Catizen ($CATI ) dropped by 71%, Notcoin (NOT) dropped by 78%.
The early airdrop of Hamster Kombat attracted over 300 million players, ultimately 129 million players received a small amount of $HMSTR tokens, but many players expressed dissatisfaction with the token distribution, claiming the rewards were as little as “dust.”
The official plan is to conduct a second airdrop in the summer of 2025 and launch a new game season where players will operate virtual studios to design games, maintaining a click-to-earn gameplay. Although the development team shared a trailer, the estimated release time at the end of October has passed, and the second season has yet to go live.
User activity has also significantly declined, with Telegram data showing that the number of participants has fallen below 44 million last month, down from over 100 million at the end of September.
