The number of cryptocurrency owners of The Open Network (TON) is expected to exceed the corresponding figure of Ethereum by December 20, according to the investor under the nickname maartunn.
"Currently, there are 137 million ETH owners, while TON has reached 112 million. Over the last month, the number of TON users has been increasing by 500,000 per day. If this trend continues, this number may exceed the number of Ethereum owners by the end of the year," commented the expert.
However, maartunn does not rule out that the growth rate of TON owners may slow down somewhat. In this case, the specified event will occur in early February 2025.
The expert also noted that the number of ETH holders is also growing, but at barely noticeable rates, which "may affect the projected dates."
TON ranks 11th in the CoinGecko ranking with a market capitalization of $12.7 billion, while Ethereum holds the position with a figure of $315.7 billion.
