The USDT stablecoin is available on various blockchain platforms, including Solana, Avalanche, Tezos and Polkadot. However, the lion's share of this digital currency comes from the Ethereum and Tron networks.

As of September 4, 2023, statistics showed that there were approximately 42.82 billion Tether circulating on the Tron blockchain, and about 39.02 billion on Ethereum.

The majority of Tether (USDT) in circulation is hosted on Tron and Ethereum. This means that of the total supply of 82.90 billion USDT, 81.84 billion, or over 98%, is held in ETH and TRX. Currently, the ERC20 version of USDT is stored on 4,555,831 unique addresses. The top ten wallets holding ERC20-based USDT hold a significant 21.38% of the 39.02 billion stablecoins on Ethereum, representing approximately 8.34 billion USDT.

Wallet "0xF97", the Binance cold storage address, manages 2.959 billion USDT. Next is “0x47a”, another wallet owned by Binance, which stores approximately 1.220 billion USDT. Third in the ranking, “0xA7A” is owned by Bybit and boasts just over 1 billion stablecoins. The address with the unique name “Arbitrum One: L1 Arb – Custom Gateway” ranks fourth and contains 708.36 million USDT.

The fifth USDT wallet on Ethereum “0xD62” belongs to Kucoin and has a balance of 552.4 million USDT. Next is Polygon Bridge with address “0x40e”, which ranks sixth in terms of savings and contains 438.03 million USDT. Tether Treasury is in seventh place with the address “0x575” containing 422.61 million USDT.

The ten largest ERC20 USDT wallets contain 21.38% of the total 39.02 billion coins hosted on Ethereum.

Following closely behind is the Mexican exchange wallet “0x3CC,” which manages 406.12 million Tether units as of September 4, 2023. Binance wallet “0x28C” is in ninth place with 328.05 million Tether, while in tenth position “0xc54” is Okx, which controls just over 300 million in this wallet. Notably, Okx is also the 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th largest USDT wallet on Ethereum.

On the Tron blockchain, the top 10 wallets account for 37.61% of the total issuance, with Binance leading the way, owning the top five Tron-based Tether wallets. Together, these five addresses hold 14.809 billion stablecoins. Tether's treasury wallet "TKHu" ranks sixth, with a balance of 431.74 million USDT. Kraken controls the seventh largest address, “TTd9q,” which controls 284.36 million Tether.

An unknown person or entity controls the eighth largest USDT wallet on Tron, “TRJvQ,” which holds 216.44 million coins. The ninth largest wallet “TNiq9” has 212.92 million Tether, the tenth wallet “TGtgr” has 150.10 million USDT, and both addresses are not marked in any way.

The 42 billion stablecoins issued on Tron are distributed across 29,062,703 different TRX addresses. The top ten holders hold a significant 37% of USDT on TRX. Meanwhile, the top 100 wallets control 44.81% of funds, and the top 500 control 47.57%.#binance #Bitcoin #ETH
