The details of ZetaChain’s migration to Solana are here. This community proposal explains everything at once: how the migration will work, when it will happen, and how token holders will be protected.
Key points:
1. Snapshot and minting: ZetaChain will take a snapshot of all ZETA balances at the announced block height and, before the migration portal opens, mint an equivalent supply on Solana at a 1:1 ratio, retaining the same token and code;
2. Timeline: Starting December 9, 2026, token holders can claim their tokens themselves through the ZetaHub migration portal. ZetaChain L1 will shut down at the same snapshot height;
3. Security review: The migration portal and its backend programs are undergoing an independent security audit. The results will be announced once the audit is complete;
4. Unaffected assets:
$ZETA on Ethereum is not included in this migration, so no action is needed.
The earlier proposal to “migrate ZETA to Solana” passed with 99.4% approval. This proposal is more like an execution manual. For ordinary token holders, there are just three key steps: confirm where your assets are before the snapshot, remember when the portal opens, and use only official channels to avoid phishing claim links.
It is quite rare in the industry for a public-chain L1 to voluntarily wind down and move all its assets to the
$SOL ecosystem. It is worth keeping an eye out for the upcoming audit report and the snapshot block height.
