Hot Tokens: Soulbound Tokens (SBT) are non-transferable tokens that represent an individual's identity using blockchain technology. This identity can include medical records, work history, and any information that makes up a person or entity. Wallets that hold or issue these records are called 'Soul'.
People can have multiple wallets (or Souls) representing different aspects of their lives. For example, someone might have a 'Credentials Soul' for their work history and a 'Medical Soul' for health records. Souls and SBTs will allow individuals to build a digital reputation on Web3, verifiable based on their past actions and experiences.
On the flip side, a Soul can represent an entity that allocates SBTs. For instance, companies can be Souls, issuing SBTs to each employee. A national digital club might issue SBTs to verify membership.
The logic behind soulbound comes from the popular online game World of Warcraft. Players cannot sell or transfer soulbound items. Once picked up, soulbound items are permanently 'bound' to the player's 'soul'.
