🚨🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russia launched a new large-scale offensive against several regions of Ukraine, with close to 500 drones and additional missile strikes, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky. The bombardments hit buildings, vehicles, supermarkets, gas stations, and industrial facilities.

The attacks left at least nine dead and dozens injured in cities and regions such as Kramatorsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Odesa, and Zhytomyr. Only in Odesa, 37 injuries were reported, including a baby, as well as two people missing.

Moscow, for its part, said that its forces struck industrial facilities and targets linked to the Ukrainian military effort, as well as cargo ships in Black Sea ports.

🚨🇹🇼🇨🇳 Taiwan denounced the fourth Chinese incursion recorded this week near the Kinmen archipelago, after detecting four China Coast Guard vessels approaching waters south of the islands. Taipei deployed patrol boats until the vessels left the restricted area.

The Taiwanese Coast Guard described the maneuvers as a «planned harassment operation in the gray zone», while Beijing has maintained a growing maritime presence since June also to the east of Taiwan.

The expansion of Chinese operations increases tensions in a strategically important area for international trade and that would be crucial in the event of a naval blockade of Taiwan.
