🔥 ROTATION INTO ALTCOINS AND MEMECOINS GAINS STRENGTH, BUT ALTSEASON HASN'T ARRIVED YET
BTC remains dominant, with about 59.65% of the market, but you can already notice a classic move: part of the capital starts leaving BTC and looking for smaller, more volatile assets with higher return potential.
In recent days, some altcoins have surged. INDEX is up +131.83% in 7 days, USELESS +138.42% over the same period, and EDGE +43.97% in just 24 hours.
This usually happens when Bitcoin slows down or enters consolidation. While the leader stops running, traders start looking for who can move faster.
The sentiment has also turned risk-off
Terms like “Memecoin” and “Airdrop” appear with positive social sentiment, showing a market more willing to take risk.
But there is an important difference between speculative rotation and a true altseason.
The Altseason Index is at 34. For a broader altseason to be considered confirmed, this indicator usually needs to move to 75 or higher
In other words: some coins are exploding, but the move still hasn't spread across the entire market
⚠️ Risk is rising too
High-beta altcoins work like a turbocharged version of the market: they can rise much more than BTC, but also fall much faster.
If Bitcoin loses support or the market shifts into risk-off mode, these smaller assets tend to suffer first
What I would watch now
If BTC dominance starts to fall while BTC remains stable, rotation gains strength.
And if the Index moves from 34 to 60 and then 75, we'll have a much stronger signal of altseason.
Another key point is volume. If these gains come with rising volume across several altcoins, not just a few isolated tokens, the chance of a broader rotation increases.
My take: the rotation has already started, mainly in small caps and memecoins, but it's still too early to call this an altseason.
