Hunting for free mints is fun, but what makes the difference is discipline.

After weeks of claiming free mints on BNB Chain, here are my rules of thumb:

1. Check the contract and official account first. If the contract differs by even one letter from the one announced by the project, stop.

2. Free means you only pay gas. If you’re suddenly asked to pay with tokens, approve something suspicious, or send assets first — it’s not free.

3. Legitimate projects never ask for your seed phrase or private key. If anyone does, walk away immediately.

4. Free spots are first come, first served, and can run out in minutes. If they’re gone, they’re gone — don’t force it by taking a paid route if you wanted it to be free in the first place.

5. Keep a record of every claim: the contract, transaction hash, and date. If anyone asks or you need to check something later, it’ll all be easy to track down.

Free doesn’t mean you should click carelessly. In fact, because it’s free, you need to verify even more carefully.

Let’s start with the numbers.
At 1:53 AM today, I minted an NFT on BNB Chain, numbered #139, and paid 0. The only cost was gas: 0.0000077 BNB, which comes to less than 1 US cent.
The project is called AGENT RAID, an AI agent boss-fighting game on BSC. Its first drop is called Genesis Badge, with a total supply of 3,333. Each .ai Agent ID is limited to 1.
Why is this genuinely free?
Not because its official website says it’s free. I’ve already come across three fakes this week that said “free” on their official websites.
The real reason is: this contract doesn’t even have a mint function.

Razor Agent is a per-unit genesis mint on BNB Chain, overseen by Binance Agent ID. Genesis opened at 19:54 Beijing time on October 31, and is currently at 584 / 10,000 units.
