Absolute rejection of those who politicize national suffering instead of focusing on the tragedy. The current reality of suffering the country is going through, in the act of helping.
I express deep indignation and rejection toward those fellow citizens who, in the current situation of suffering the country is enduring, use social media to spread political positions, criticize governments, or further foreign interests, by qualifying.
Enough with turning our mourning into a commodity
It is an intolerable outrage that, while the country mourns its dead, searches for those who are missing among the rubble, and witnesses the looting of those who have lost everything, there are sectors determined to turn suffering into a bargaining chip.
It is a morally unacceptable low act to use someone else’s tragedy as a platform for political calculations, the defense of foreign interests, or ideological attacks. Every minute spent on social media to moralize, criticize, or politicize pain is a second of disrespect toward the victims.
Those who today put their political agenda above human dignity are not only indifferent to the tragedy; they are complicit in the mockery. Mourning has no political color, and the memory of those who have lost their lives or their homes demands respect, not to be used as a gimmick for confrontation. Our priority must be solidarity and reconstruction, not to feed the media spectacle built on the misfortune of our brothers.
We demand respect for the victims: the people’s pain is not their playground.
