Current status of the Binance Card in Venezuela
Eligibility via KYC: The Binance Card Global Program operates in partnership with international issuers (such as Immersve via the Mastercard network). For users with documents/residency in Venezuela, the system indicates that the card is not enabled in the region.

Community expectations: On Binance Square and across the platform’s social channels in LatAm, local market interest is frequently tested. In the app, there’s an option where you can mark “Show Interest” so they register your request for card availability in the country.

Why isn’t it officially active in the country?
Rolling out a crypto consumption plastic card or a direct virtual card to local merchants involves several technical and legal barriers:

1. Integration with the banking system and SUDEBAN: To work at national point-of-sale (POS) terminals, the transaction would need to be settled in bolívares in milliseconds via a local processor or banking partner.

2. FX framework: It would be necessary to agree on the conversion rate in real time (whether it would use the official BCV rate or a market/P2P rate) at the moment the debit is made.

3. Regulatory and international restrictions: The international Mastercard/Visa issuer must have cross-border permissions that do not conflict with the current regulations and sanctions affecting the regional financial system.

Alternatives currently used
To use Binance balance directly for daily purchases or online platforms in Venezuela, the community currently uses:
