$ZKJ I looked at this page twice, and the numbers don't even agree with each other. Let's start with that.
The price shown on the listing is $0.00841, paired with $USDT, and it's up less than 2% in a day. But on the same day, several other market-data sites were showing prices just above $0.005. The listing price is more than 60% higher. The difference in volume is even more striking: the small pool tracked here saw just $1,020 in trades over 24 hours—44 buys worth $724 and 42 sells worth $302. Across the entire market, daily volume was about $340,000, more than 300 times the volume in this pool. If you go by the listing price, you're looking at a quote from a nearly dried-up little pool, not the price people are trading at overall.
The top-ten figures on this same page come in three versions, too. The info section says 45%. Open the security pop-up, and it says the top ten hold 91.5% after excluding the burn address. The holders table says the top 100 hold 88.4%. Just the top two addresses account for 46.7%—already more than the 45% the info section gives for the top ten. The page header also says liquidity is $1.64 million, while the pool section shows only $90,000, a difference of more than 18 times. The page doesn't explain which pools were added together to get $1.64 million. The stats and chart above the holders table say there's no data yet, but the address list below shows more than a dozen entries. The total holder count is 84,100, and at least those two sources agree; the on-chain holder count is about the same.
Make sure you've got the right name, too. This coin used to be called ZK. On June 1, 2024, it was renamed ZKJ at a 1:1 ratio. The contract is still the same, and its on-chain name is still Polyhedra Network, with the ticker ZK. The listing title says ZKJ, while the pool section says ZK, so the names are mixed. Don't get them confused when searching. I checked the contract address against the verified source code on-chain; it's the official one. The project works on zero-knowledge proofs, and its website says ZKJ is used to pay fees and as fuel for EXPchain.
There's not much to say about $USDT: the BTC/$USDT pair is listed on Binance spot, and $USDT can be traded normally. I couldn't find a ZKJ trading pair on the spot market, so for this article I'll treat it as not listed on spot.
If you hold it, first check the on-chain holder rankings to see whether the top two addresses' 46.7% has moved, then compare prices across several other sites. Don't keep your eyes fixed only on the price in this one pool on the listing. Come back and see what it says once the top-ten and liquidity figures on this page are using consistent definitions.
This is not investment advice. Alpha coins are high-risk and could go to zero. Follow me—when I see pages like this contradicting themselves, I'll call them out.
