The Winklevoss twins just filed a spot
$ZEC ETF with the SEC, proposing to list it on Nasdaq under the ticker WINK.
But the biggest story may not be the ETF itself…
It’s the fee war. 💰
🔹 Winklevoss WINK: 0.25% annual fee
🔹 Grayscale ZCSH: 2.5% annual fee
🔹 That’s a 10x lower fee for the proposed Winklevoss product.
The filing also says Winklevoss Capital has indicated interest in purchasing up to $100M of shares — but importantly, that is NOT a binding commitment or confirmed inflow.
Meanwhile, ZCSH has recently faced heavy outflows after approaching the $1B AUM area, showing that institutional demand for ZEC is not a one-way trade.
And technically,
$ZEC is still struggling around the $1,300 area after its huge rally.
So I’m watching three things:
📌 ETF approval progress
📌 Actual ETF inflows/outflows
📌 Whether ZEC can reclaim key resistance
The filing is bullish for Zcash ETF adoption, but the real confirmation comes when money actually starts flowing.
Privacy coin + Wall Street + ETF fee war?
This could get very interesting. 🥸
