$ASML bouncing hard Monday, closed +3.15% to 1825.07 from Friday's 1769.32. $AMAT dropped -1.7% to 592.79 on the same session. $LRCX drifting at 350.20. Same chip cycle, same customers, same export rules. One of these prints is wrong.
Saw this morning, the litho monopoly decoupling from its commodity peers. ASML is the only company on the planet that ships EUV machines. Every advanced node at TSMC, Samsung, Intel runs through them. Applied Materials and Lam Research make tools that compete with each other on every deposition step. The supply line on ASML is hard to copy. The other two are competing with Japanese incumbents like Tokyo Electron on top of that.
Macro isn't screaming risk-off. DXY sitting at 100.99, 10Y at 4.523%, F&G index at 27 (Fear). Not exactly a melt-up environment, but not falling apart either. If ASML clears 1850 on a close, I'm watching 1900 next. Lose 1750, we revisit the 1700 low from late June. Clean levels, clean risk.
Adding ASML to the watchlist here. Risk/Reward looks decent if you trim into strength on bounces instead of chasing. Not buying today though, want to see a clean retest first. NFA, DYOR.
