🚨 BREAKING: Trump's new White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia is out after less than a week on the job, per multiple outlets including CNBC and WSJ.
Zacharia, who had taken over the role on October 9, is described by a White House official as "transitioning out" of the position, making her tenure one of the shortest for any press secretary in modern American history.
Her exit followed intense scrutiny after her first briefing lasted only about 14 minutes, during which she stumbled over her script and took just a handful of questions. Criticism intensified further after she confirmed in a Fox News interview with Sean Hannity that she had not passed the bar exam, despite having referred to herself as an attorney.
Trump addressed the situation directly, telling reporters he'd spoken with Zacharia and advised her to reconsider the role, saying, "If I were you, I'd reconsider."
The shake-up adds to a pattern of rapid turnover among Trump's press secretaries and comes at a sensitive moment, just weeks ahead of the midterm elections, with the White House already navigating several other controversies.
