A strange divergence just took place when Bitcoin closed the month of July around the 63,800 USD mark, slipping slightly by over 1.3%—completely opposite to the upward momentum of the global stock market.

Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East combined with the Fed’s hawkish tone quickly put an end to the brief rebound. Even so, looking at the bigger picture, the CoinDesk 20 index is still up 8.7% from the previous month, marking the best growth month for the crypto market in the past year. Capital flows are still moving quietly, shown by the mild recovery of some altcoins such as ADA or UNI.

The price area around 64,000 USD is currently an extremely important psychological battleground. This temporary calm is often a sign of accumulation before the next burst of significant volatility.
