In every round, the number of people losing money in a bull market far exceeds that in a bear market.
Affected by market sentiment, the vast majority of people are restless inside, feeling that if they don’t invest heavily now, it will be too late. They always feel that they can’t be slower than others; otherwise, they won’t make money. This leads to chaotic operations...
1. Frequent switching of positions
Switching positions is one of the reasons people lose money in a bull market. When they see a coin rising, they switch positions. As a result, just after switching, it drops 30%, and a day later, their original coin rises 300%, and then they switch back... only to see it drop 200%...
In the end, the bull market is over; not only is the coin gone, but the principal is also lost. There’s a saying: a coin doesn’t rise because you didn’t sell, and it doesn’t fall because you didn’t buy.
The time for each coin to rise and fall in a bull market is different; just hold onto the coins you have and wait for them to rise. Want to know the increase of all coins? It’s simply a dream.
2. Love for short-term trading
Most people’s mindset: sell at a high price, buy back at a low price.
The problem arises: what if it doesn’t drop back?
To gain 30% profit, they miss out on 3 times, 5 times, or even more profits. Is it worth it?
It’s hard to understand why some people think they can buy low and sell high?
In reality, the vast majority, thinking about buying low and selling high, end up selling and then seeing the coin rise, and then they buy back at a high price... had they known this earlier, why bother in the first place?
3. Randomly opening leveraged contracts
Even if you have no confidence in a project, I still don’t recommend shorting it. Why? Because the forces behind the crypto market are constantly changing.
A fundamentally terrible project might survive due to some supportive force and may even rise dozens of times.
Similarly, a project with good data might drop 99%. Just look at how many price spikes have appeared on exchanges recently?
