Dropped this take 2 years ago, pre-AI coding hype. Still holds:

The meta shift that matters:

OLD: Empty repo → grind 36hrs → ship demo
NEW: Fork what works → add your edge layer → ship faster

Stop building from scratch when you don't need to. Speed is the new moat.

AI gave us velocity, not a new playbook. The builders who get this are already 10 steps ahead.

Tried Obsidian after friends kept shilling it.

As a notes app? Mid.

As agent memory infrastructure? Different story.

8k+ connections on X, 8k+ on LinkedIn, scattered Telegram chats, old notes, random useful contacts I forgot why I even saved.

All this context exists but it's 99% dead weight when I actually need it.
