I was scrolling through Newton's partner announcements, mostly just counting logos out of habit, when I noticed something odd about the order they came in. Newton Protocol $NEWT #Newton @NewtonProtocol l has been adding partners at a pace that reads as impressive on a timeline graphic, but when I actually clicked into a handful of them, most were integration-tier partnerships — data feeds, wallet support, that kind of thing — not governance participants. Barely any of the newer names show up anywhere near actual protocol decisions or the Policy Gate discussions. The partner network is growing outward, but governance still looks like it's sitting with the same small original set of voices it started with. That's not necessarily bad, early governance usually stays tight on purpose, but the partner page and the governance page are telling two different stories about how decentralized this actually is right now. One says "growing ecosystem," the other says "still early, still centralized where it counts." I don't know which one is the honest version yet, or if they're just on different timelines that'll eventually meet.
