feels like the stock market is where dumb money is today, while the only remaining ppl onchain are battle-tested survivors of brutal bear markets and rug pulls.

assuming hype trades at a reasonable multiple (~20s), it’ll probably be one of the best performing assets in a bear market because perp trading is less cyclical than most other crypto products.

next @alliancedao cohort is going to be the biggest yet (again). insane amount of talent building in crypto right now.

the more publicly listed companies get involved with crypto the more crypto ppl should realize stocks don't trade all that differently from meme coins

stablecoin is quickly becoming consensus among vcs and founders

as the memetic value of most tokens compress to zero and the number of revenue-generating projects remains limited, more n more ppl on chain will want to own assets like stonks and real estate without off-ramp.

this is the medium term bull case for rwas.

l1 monetary premium will likely compress to zero in the coming years and the process probably already started 1-2 years ago

micropayment-based social network / marketplace is an exciting new space that isn't possible without crypto and @alliancedao has funded a few in this space, @timedotfun being the notable example. there will be a couple more launching in the coming months focusing on different niches and i cant wait to unveil them.

arbitrage that @alliancedao has exploited for years:

- widespread misconception that u need a lot of money and a big team to achieve something great

- young technical founders without a polished resume r severely undervalued

- apps r priced at 1 or 2 orders of magnitude lower than infra despite as big if not bigger of a tam

- the only way to really understand this space is to use the products yet most ppl r too lazy to do this

robinhood+hyperliquid+pump r going after incumbent crypto cexes. if i were the latter this would be the #1 thing that keeps me up at night.

mental framework ive adopted in the past ~2 years:

in the entire crypto land only btc has crossed the chasm and become an *investment*. everything else is a *trade*.

everyone who missed sol thinking eth was unbeatable is now all in on hype not wanting to make the same mistake twice

if elon+trump can't stop the us deficit growth, no one will.

hyperliquid is interesting because it’s competing with ethereum for the largest community of crypto devs — evm devs — *and* solana for the largest group of crypto users — degen users

beautiful btc pa as japanese bonds r imploding, us treasury auction had no demand, and house passes a tax bill that will increase debt by trillions.

now may be the best time to build in crypto for the v simple reason that there's a lack of serious competition. i have maybe a dozen of good product ideas but struggle to find the right teams to build them. meanwhile in ai for every half-decent idea there's >20 legit startups working on it, not to mention the big ai labs. meanwhile the regulatory env is as friendly to crypto as ever. great time to be a contrarian.
