I came to Dusk thinking that privacy was about hiding certain bits of data.. Dusk made me realize that this way of thinking might be wrong. As I watched the activity on the network I kept thinking about the difference between Moonlight and Phoenix. Moonlight does not feel like a privacy tool to me. Instead Moonlight feels like a way to keep identity and accountability tied together when those things still matter. Phoenix looks at the problem from a different side. Phoenix works to hide transaction details so they are not exposed but Phoenix still lets you verify the things that actually need to be verified.
